How often can I modify my order?

You have until midnight (Eastern Time) before your delivery to finalize your order. You can change it as much as you like until then.

What comes in the standard basket?

This will vary from week to week, but below are some examples of standard $30 baskets. We highly recommend that you customize your basket contents to get freshly-baked breads, pastries, coffee, tea, and other unbelieveable local products that don't come in the base basket.

Fall/Winter Basket

  • 1 pint of cherry tomatoes (Lufa Farms)
  • 2 red beefsteak tomatoes (Lufa Farms)
  • 1 head of Boston lettuce (Lufa Farms)
  • 1 bunch of swiss chard (Lufa Farms)
  • 1 english cucumber (Lufa Farms)
  • 1 bell pepper (Lufa Farms)
  • 2 pounds of fingerling potatoes (partner farm)
  • 1 bag of multicolored carrots (partner farm)
  • 1 bag of Jerusalem artichokes (partner farm)
  • 1 pound of apples (partner farm)
  • 1 butternut squash (partner farm)

Summer Basket

  • 1 pint of cherry tomatoes (Lufa Farms)
  • 2 red beefsteak tomatoes (Lufa Farms)
  • 1 head of Boston lettuce (Lufa Farms)

There was an issue with the basket I received. What should I do?

We're sorry to hear that! Farmers are human and that means we sometimes make mistakes. If there was an issue with your order, such as missing or damaged items, please contact us and we’ll find a way to make it right. We’re committed to ensuring you’re fully satisfied with your Lufa Farms experience.

Are there ever substitutions in Lufa Farms baskets?

Occasionally there may be substitutions to basket content. As any gardener can attest, nature is sometimes unpredictable and this can affect harvests. Generally speaking, if we don’t have the item you ordered we’ll be able to substitute it for something similar and comparably priced (e.g. Beefsteak tomatoes instead of tomatoes on the vine, Lebanese cucumbers instead of English cucumbers, mixed greens instead of Boston lettuce). If ever you’re not satisfied with the contents of your basket, contact us and we’ll make it right.

Can I try a Lufa Farms basket just once to see if I like it before committing to a longer term?

Of course! You can suspend or cancel your subscription at any time by calling us. That means you can receive only one basket and then choose to terminate your subscription without penalty if you’re not satisfied.

How do I cancel my subscription if I am not satisfied?

Lufa Farms basket subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, in accordance with our Promise of Satisfaction. Simply call us at 514-669-3559 and we’ll make the necessary changes to your account. If applicable, any balance remaining in your account will be refunded using the payment method from the purchase transaction.

Can I have receive baskets every two weeks instead of every week?

You can suspend as many times as you like by logging in to your Lufa Farms account before your next delivery. However, there's currently no way to automatically receive baskets every two weeks.

How much do the baskets weigh?

The actual weight of the basket will vary from week to week and basket to basket depending on the mix of vegetables for that week.

Can I stop my order when I go on vacation?

Absolutely! You can manage your vacations by logging in to your Lufa Farms account. Keep in mind that the maximum vacation period allowed by our system is two weeks at a time, but you can always extend your vacation by logging in again later on.

Do I have any say in what I get in my basket each week?

Most definitely! One of the most exciting things about having a Lufa Farms basket is that you get to choose what you want inside. For those of you who want a more typical CSA experience, each week we'll design a basic basket based on our planned harvest and the seasonality of produce from our partner farms. But two days in advance of your delivery, you’ll receive an email that your basket is ready to be customized. Just log on to the Marketplace up until midnight before your delivery and you can fully customize the contents. We've had customers in the past who only order Lufa Farms tomatoes, and others who only order chocolates and coffee. It's totally up to you.

You'll notice when you customize your basket that some items have maximum and minimum quantities. Although we always aim to offer you the greatest flexibility possible, your ability to add and remove items is based on a number of factors including availability and our commitment to avoiding waste.
