Debuting baby food alongside two incredible partners: ImPRESS and Belov.

A while back we set out to extend our offering to include baby foods for young families and new parents. Finding the right partners that align with our mission always takes careful research and like you, we want only the best for our littlest Lufavores - fresh, locally crafted baby foods made with traceable or organic ingredients.

We found our perfect match(es). Just in time for Mother’s Day, our hard-working team onboarded not one but two like-minded, outstanding partners. Meet ImPRESS and Belov - two local and women-owned businesses boasting responsible and traceable ingredients (double the win!). 

ImPRESS whips up organic cold-pressed purees. After partnering with ImPRESS for their juices, we discovered their line for tiny tots - Canada’s first fresh baby food brand using only organic ingredients.

• A family-run shop making fresh options accessible to parents and tasty for babies. Founded by Line Leclerc alongside her children Émilie and Jérôme, the family set out to address the lack of fresh, nutritious baby food on the market.
  
• Keeping nutritional values high with cold press technologies. Eager to make a difference, they craft purees without heat using  a high-pressure processing (HPP) system to avoid loss of nutrients and unnecessary preservatives. 
  
• They offer flavourful mixes for ages between four and nine-plus months. From apple and pear to more complex combinations like carrot, pineapple, and ginger their team of 30 selects in-season ingredients from neighbouring farmers - and connects with producers from around the world for both organic and traceable ingredients not grown in Quebec. 

Belov starts with two moms aiming to improve toddler snacks. In just a couple years, they’ve become a key player, introducing textured snacks to babies with puffs on the horizon. We found their iron-enriched oat-based cereals at this year’s Expo Manger Santé and were instantly fans. 

• Introducing a fresh new take on textured foods. While on maternity leave, Stéphanie Rochon noticed many of the baby foods at big stores were imported and full of additives. Wanting better for her daughter, she teamed up with her best friend, Laurier Gauthier, to create a simple, nutritious product perfect for a baby’s first food.
• Keeping it traceable and nutritious for every taste. Stéphanie and Laurie are strict about where their ingredients come from and how they’re grown. Every product they make is measured up to high food safety standards and certified organic - right down to their oats from Saint-Félicien.
• Helping parents beyond their range of products. To mix up the usual cereal routine, their oats can be added to simple recipes featured on their website like vegetable pancakes, smoothies, muffins, and more to introduce new plates to your little one’s menu.

We’re also looking to expand our range to include options for toddlers and kids, helping our tiny Lufavores develop a love for fresh, local, responsible foods from the start.
