POSITIONS

 

Merchandising Project Manager

The Merchandising Project Manager is responsible for introducing new products and services to the marketplace via unique and potentially complex multidisciplinary projects, as well as managing the evolution of said products and services. The projects are determined in close collaboration with the Supply and Merchandising Manager as well as the company’s management team. Projects can vary in complexity, and can last anywhere from 3 to 12 months.

Requirements:

  • Certification and experience with management of complex and multi-disciplinary projects and/or product management
  • Ability to research and find high-quality suppliers whose values both align and endorse the vision of Lufa Farms
  • Good negotiation skills and confident in business relationship development
  • Team management experience and ability to build a multi-disciplinary team when necessary
  • Organizational skills, punctuality and ability to work both independently and in teams in a fast and automated environment
  • Ability to work quickly and precisely without making errors in a constantly changing environment
  • Displays concern about the quality and standards of work
  • Great work ethic, flexibility, attention to detail and respect for both the products and stated deadlines
  • Comfortable using computer and associated applications, and particularly comfortable working with spreadsheets, Excel and project management software
  • Good oral/written skills in both French and English

Warehouse Team Employee

This general position at Lufa Farms requires a candidate who is effective at three key roles at our warehouse: picking, packing and portioning. Different roles may vary according to the specific needs of our Montreal distribution center.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work quickly and precisely without making errors in a constantly changing environment under pressure
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Actively concerned and aware about both quality of work and of the products being handled
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy objects (+/- 20 lbs) and put them in inventory, sometimes on high shelves (6’ to 8’) using a ladder or stepladder if necessary
  • Ability to respect deadlines
  • Great work ethic, flexibility and attention to detail
  • Familiar with the use of electronic devices such as computers, tablets, and associated applications
  • Able to move products using a pallet truck, two wheeled hand truck, cart etc.

Assets:

  • Experience in the food industry and in agriculture
  • Logistical and warehouse experience
  • Experience in picking, packing and portioning
  • Ability to communicate in both French and English as well as basic reading skills in both languages

Schedule:

Customer Service Relations Representative (full-time)

A Lufa Farms Customer Service Relations Representative is responsible for ensuring that every client or potential client is communicated with in a way that supports and inspires the vision of Lufa Farms and what we are doing for Montréal.

Administrative Coordinator

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for purchasing office supplies, managing digital and hardcopy filing systems, processing mail/courier shipments, arranging travel and accommodations, managing security assets (keys, alarms, cameras), and the general upkeep of the office. The coordinator will also help with the planning of events for the company.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role

IT Support Agent (Junior)

The IT Support Agent will be responsible for a multitude of tasks while also acting as the main tech support for day-to-day employee issues at our Ahuntsic headquarters. This role will also include the responsibility of ensuring that all computer systems as well as networks are being monitored and maintained. We are looking for someone to:

  • Respond to technical requests using our Ticketing System
  • Setup computers, printers, phones, and iPads for employees
  • Maintain up-to-date our inventory of IT assets
  • Manage accesses for employees and Google Apps
  • Maintain / improve networks
  • Manage VoIP phone system and camera system
  • Enforce security policies on collaborative tools
  • Monitor infrastructure using Zabbix
  • Manage backups
  • Make sure IT documentation is up-to-date

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills

Software Development Manager

Lufa Farms is looking for a hands-on manager for our Software Development department. The Software Development Manager will be responsible for the oversight and development of the department’s projects. We are looking for someone to:

  • Design, estimate, and code new features
  • Architect new applications, and expand existing ones
  • Investigate and fix production issues
  • Define, document, and enforce regulations, procedures and formal instructions
  • Perform code reviews of your team members' work
  • Mentor developers
  • Participate in sprint planning
  • Ensure all code that goes to production is of top quality
  • Ensure existing applications are scaled to meet expected demand
  • Continuously improve the software infrastructure, such as the deployment process

Requirements:

  • A natural leader
  • Experience in designing and developing high availability web applications or services
  • Experience in software testing, bug tracking and fixing
  • Experience in requirement writing and drafting
  • 5+ years with object-oriented programming in PHP and front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • MVC frameworks (Yii, Laravel)
  • Complex SQL queries and database schema design
  • Familiar with JIRA and Git
  • Capable of managing stress in a time sensitive environment

On-call Harvester

Harvesters work to ensure that produce is delivered fresh to our clients the following day and also help during plant pulls. Other duties include plant care and greenhouse janitorial tasks.


Requirements:

  • Must have access to a car
  • Independent
  • Comfortable with long periods of physical activity (8+ hours) in humid environment
  • Capable walking/bending and lifting for extended periods
  • Organized

Assets:

  • Experience with greenhouse labour an asset

  • On-call

Greenhouse Supervisor

The Greenhouse Supervisor is responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the greenhouse. The Supervisor schedules and monitors all greenhouse activities and staff routines, plans for events and schedules maintenance/repairs. The Supervisor also participates in the hiring and evaluation of greenhouse staff.

Required:

  • At least 2 years’ experience managing a team
  • Comfortable with long periods of physical activity (8+ hours) in humid environment
  • Capable walking, bending, lifting for extended periods
  • Organized
  • Own vehicle or driver’s license

Assets:

  • Experience working in a greenhouse

Schedule:

  • 45 hours/week
