How to plant your strawberry plant in a pot
The Seascape strawberry plant is quite hardy and produces lots of fruit. The strawberries are large, firm, bright red, and have a remarkable flavour.
Planting Instructions
- Get a potting container of at least 18” in diameter with drainage holes.
- Fill the pot two-thirds up with potting mix.
- Water the soil until you see water draining from the bottom of the pot.
- Make a mound of soil for your strawberry plant.
- Fill a container with water and soak the strawberry roots (roots only) for an hour or so before planting.
- Remove the plant from the water, set the plant on top of the mound, and arrange the roots so they extend down the sides.
- Fill the pot with more soil, bringing the soil to the level of the plant’s crown (make sure not to bury the crown in soil).
- Water the plant thoroughly until the pot begins to drain.
All done! Now place your strawberry container in a warm and sunny spot.
Note: Your plant should bloom approx. two months after planting.
