What do locavores eat in autumn?
Who says that you can't eat local year round in Quebec?
Our greenhouses will continue to produce plenty of vegetables even in the dead of winter, but in addition to our tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers, and greens, you'll also find dozens of seasonal fall vegetables harvested from our partner farms. By getting your seasonal vegetables through our Marketplace, you can continue to support organic farms in Quebec even throughout the colder months of the year. And with autumn at our doors, nothing will be better for easing the transition to the shortest days of the year than devoting your weekends to enjoying the company of family and friends by cooking a hot, local meal together.
On a separate note, good news! Sprouts from De Germe en Pousse are back on the Marketplace at long last! We've heard from many of you about how much you missed them, and we couldn't be happier to have them back. For those of you not in the know, these wonderful little guys are crunchy, succulent, and great for your health. We'll write a blog post next week dedicated completely to sprouts. Promise–it'll make converts of all of you.

A taste of what you'l find on the Marketplace (and hopefully in your kitchen soon thereafter).

Looking for autumnal recipes the new seasonal products you see on the Marketplace? Don't panic! Each week we'll be publishing fall recipes for some of our coolest and most interesting new arrivals.
For even more inspiration, below are links to a few of our favorite sites here at Lufa. Though for me personally, there's nothing better for culinary inspiration than curling up with an old-fashioned print magazine and a cup of Bengal Spice tea.
