We’ve got awesome meal kits for kiddos now, too.

We crafted custom meal kits for early eaters, picky tots, and hungry after-schoolers (and Chase, here ?).
It started with baby food. In all its mushy glory, we knew we wanted it on the Marketplace - nutritious, easy options to get the whole family fed. The question was how to do it fresh, local, and responsible. There’s plenty of organic baby food out there, a whole rainbow of it, but here’s the thing: the ingredients aren’t local. Add to that a surplus of packaging and more preservatives than we cared for, and our search stopped there.
But then it clicked: meal kits for kids! The same deal as our grown-up meal kits - no pre-portioning, super flexible, and always local, seasonal, traceable ingredients. We just added easy prep and kid-friendly vibes to the mix. To do it right, we brought onboard Naureen Huanani, a Montreal-based registered dietitian and mother of two young dragons, to help vet our recipes. Naureen’s passion for easily and healthily feeding kids - and a strong belief in transparency - made her the perfect fit.
We didn’t stop at mac n’ cheese! With meal kits on the table, your little Lufavores are all set.
The deeper we got into it the more we saw the need for meal kits catering to all young age groups. With plenty of parents on our team here, we know how it goes - figuring out what to give your kid at what age can be confusing, frustrating, and just one more thing to do in the day. Our goal was really to take the guesswork out of it all by creating nutritious meal kits for four age groups:
First Timers (6-8 months): Simple one-ingredient purees to introduce new foods to your baby.
Baby (8-24 months): More complex purees and meals for babies to explore new foods and flavours.
Toddler (2-4 years): Fun, kid-focused meals for your toddlers to enjoy and even cook with you.
Grade Schooler (5+ years): Recipes for easy mornings, school lunches, and afternoon snacks.
You’ll find a couple of options in each group starting this week, and we have a queue of new, seasonal recipes coming. And, parents, we know you know best. It’s up to you what you feel your kid is up for and into, so give the kits a try and let us know what you think!
