DescriptionAt Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system, a massive undertaking that we couldn’t tackle without a stellar team. With our company in constant expansion, we’re looking for someone who’s thrilled by the idea of improving the current food system to become our Bookkeeping Clerk. The Bookkeeping Clerk assists our Accounting and Administration departments with invoicing and preparing financial statements, amongst other bookkeeping tasks. If you’re an independent problem solver with a knack for organization, you’ll thrive in this role!Responsibilities•Verify and file source documents, such as invoices, receipts, etc.;•Account for financial transactions in the company's books;•Reconcile accounts;•Collect and analyze data;•Generate financial reports;•Track and maintain inventory records;•Maintain internal control systems;•Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable;•Assist in the year-end audit process;•Comply with relevant reporting requirements;•Prepare batch payments;•Maintain a comprehensive filing system to support financial records.Requirements•DEC or certificate in accounting;•Experience in accounting practices;•Knowledge of generally accepted accounting standards;•Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements;•Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis;•Proficiency with Google Suite and Excel;•Reliable, detail-oriented, planning and organizational skills;•Independent and problem-solving skills;•Excellent English and French language skills.Assets•Experience using Oracle NetSuite;•Experience with Excel or Google Suite.Schedule•40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.Compensation & benefits:•Salary to be determined based on experience and knowledge of the candidate;•You’ll be eligible to participate in the firm’s health insurance, dental, and disability programs after completion of the probationary period (paid 50% by the employee and 50% by Lufa Farms);•Access to TELUS Health Virtual Care (direct contact to health professionals by phone, video, or chat) and the Employee and Family Assistance Program (professional, short-term counselling, covering a broad range of interpersonal issues);•30% discount on your Lufa Farms basket.
