DescriptionAt Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system by growing food where people live and growing it responsibly. This led us to build the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse in 2011, followed by the world’s largest less than a decade later. To keep changing the way people eat in cities across the world, we’re looking for a Graphic Designer to elevate our brand through creative and impactful visual content.The Graphic Designer will report to the Communications Director and will play a key role in designing and creating a wide range of visual assets, with a primary focus on web design. This role also includes creating digital ads, video and animation content, web assets, and print materials. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented designer with a passion for both digital design and storytelling.ResponsibilitiesWeb design and digital assets•Design and develop web assets, ensuring visual consistency across all digital touchpoints;•Create visually appealing landing pages, banners, and other web-based content that aligns with brand guidelines;•Design engaging digital ads that drive traffic and conversions.Video and animation•Create video and animation content for digital channels, including social media, ads, and websites;•Develop short-form animated graphics that enhance brand storytelling;•Collaborate with other team members on internal video production and post-production needs.Print design•Design high-quality print materials such as brochures, posters, and event materials;•Ensure consistency in design elements across digital and print projects;•Prepare files for print production, ensuring proper specifications are met.Departmental support and special projects•Assist with other departmental needs as required, providing design support for various initiatives;•Participate in special projects and cross-functional campaigns that require design expertise.Requirements•2-3 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong focus on digital projects;•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects);•Strong skills in web design, digital ads, and video/animation;•Experience in print design, with an understanding of print production processes;•Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;•Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work;•Strong understanding of visual storytelling, branding, and user experience design;•A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving;•Passion for sustainable food, urban agriculture, and Lufa Farms’ mission.Schedule•Full-time (40 hours per week).Benefits•You’ll be eligible to participate in the firm’s health insurance, dental and disability programs after completion of the probationary period (paid 50% by the employee and 50% by Lufa Farms);•Access to TELUS Health Virtual Care (direct contact to health professionals by phone, video, or chat) and the Employee and Family Assistance Program (professional, short-term counselling, covering a broad range of interpersonal issues);•30% discount on your Lufa Farms basket.
