Description
At Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system and a huge part of this is achieved by growing food where people live, and growing it responsibly. We also partner with hundreds of local farmers and foodmakers to offer a full lineup of fresh, local, responsible groceries online. With new promotional projects requiring structured management, we’re looking for a motivated individual to become our Purchasing Assistant.
Reporting to the Purchasing Director, the Purchasing Assistant is responsible for preparing and updating various weekly reports and following up on other tasks related to promotional activities. They work closely with all team members and actively participate in various projects related to the department while respecting established deadlines.
Responsibilities
Assist the team in managing and updating weekly purchasing reports;
Extract and analyze specific data, complete and update purchasing documents and reports;
Follow-up with suppliers and draft internal and external purchasing communications;
Prepare administrative documents required for purchasing management;
Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes within the purchasing department, documenting those that have never been formalized;
Work closely with the IT department to optimize purchasing processes;
Participate in strategic meetings to ensure a thorough understanding of objectives, and act as the main point of contact between the purchasing team and other departments;
Monitor ongoing projects and document supplier performance;
Participate in interdepartmental projects to support team objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in administration, marketing, or equivalent field, plus relevant experience;
Two to three years' experience in merchandizing or other purchasing role;
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
Bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken;
Strong analytical, organizational, and structuring skills;
Excellent priority management, initiative, autonomy, and attention to detail;
Effective problem-solving skills.
Assets
Foodie with a passion for sustainable, local, and high-quality food;
Experience with online search tools and product recommendation software;
Knowledge of website, mobile site, and application merchandizing.
Schedule
Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm;
Note: This position requires flexibility to occasionally work outside normal office hours, as needed.

Salary to be determined based on experience and knowledge of the candidate;
Reimbursement of cell phone expenses up to 60% of the monthly amount (capped at $60 per month);
