DescriptionAt Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system by growing food where people live and growing it responsibly. Through our production kitchen and juicing centre, we prepare fresh juices and ready-to-eat foods that reflect our commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability. To support these operations, we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all related activities. They must support the QA Team to ensure that operations run smoothly while also maintaining the expected quality standards of Lufa Farms. Responsibilities•Oversees, hires, and trains QA team members;•Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations;•Implements, trains, and manages processes to ensure that product meets requirements specifications;•Identifies quality and food safety issues, particularly when problems recur in multiple products, and recommends corrective action and solutions;•Implements policies and procedures that’ll improve day-to-day operations;•Ensures work environments are adequate and safe;•Ensures that team members are reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership;•Promotes Lufa Farms values to team members and performs other duties as assigned;•Performs cause analysis and investigations for customer complaints, foreign materials, and quality failures;•Generates weekly reports, charts, and deep dives into QA data;•Conducts putaway audits to set packers up for success;•Works alongside other departments (Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations) to identify and address quality issues;•Assists in reviewing and developing quality metrics and KPIs, then communicating the information to the team.Requirements•For internal candidates: a minimum of 1000 hours in the DC, an error rate below 0.18%, and a strong attendance record are required;•Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team;•Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English;•Ability to act rationally under pressure;•Strategic thinker with strong skills in logistics and organization;•Ability to set boundaries, expectations, and impose limits;•Highly organized and able to multitask and prioritize;•Strong problem-solving skills;•Work experience in warehouse logistics;•Ability to set up and maintain operational standards;•A critical thinker, always on the lookout for a better way of doing things;•Great work ethic, flexibility, detailed-oriented, and respectful of products and deadlines;•Ability to enforce rules and set expectations clearly;•Ability to grow and develop your team through coaching, 1-1s, and on-going training;•Ability to provide constructive feedback and positive reinforcement;•Ability to perform cause analysis, identify issues, and implement solutions;•Genuine interest in Lufa Farms, our mission, and business model.Assets•Experience in the fields of agriculture or food production;•Forklift Certification;•Electric Jigger Certification;•CTPAT Certification;•SDS Training;•University diploma.Schedule•35 hours per week.
