Come tour the Plante family’s organic strawberry farm on Île d’Orléans.

Upstream the St. Lawrence River on the south-side of the sun-kissed Île d’Orléans, you’ll find the Plante family perfecting their berry-growing craft since the 19th century. Today, Jean-Julien (the fourth generation of Plante farmers) and his wife are leading the charge into organic farming, having ditched synthetic pesticides back in 2015 to create a safer playground for their kids. Over the past couple years, they’ve re-introduced themselves to the land, embracing its unique environment and natural biocontrols to grow the freshest strawberries in town.
