Kohlrabi remoulade

You know that vegetable that looks like a sputnik satellite? It's cabbage turnip or kohlrabi, from German Kohl ("cabbage") and Swiss-German Rübe ("turnip").
It's kohlrabi season! Add it to your basket and try this recipe. It's a perfect side dish and a wonderful addition to your hamburgers or hotdogs.
2 or 3 kohlrabi
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 or 2 cloves garlic
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix all dressing ingredients
- Grate the kohlrabi and mix with dressing
- Adjust seasoning and voilà!
